Mountain Spirits — Landscape Photography from Scotland’s Mountains
This project is in development and constantly evolving, much like the changing weather of the Scottish mountains which it photographs. The inspiration started with visits to some of the incredible mountain landscapes on the Isle of Harris, Scotland. These places are rugged and often unvisited, partly because the beaches of the island steal away attention and partly because of their unforgiving character — indeed the spirits that embody these places (The Cailleach: Queen of Winter and Brigid: the Maiden of Spring). Many of the areas photographed below are fairly unexplored in terms of photography and I'm excited to spend a bit more time doing just that over the coming years.
At the top of the page you will find a full slideshow for easy viewing, followed by a grid view to purchase prints (click on your selected image). If you have any questions or special requests, please do not hesitate to get in touch and I would be more than happy to help. Each pigment ink print is made using only the highest quality materials including Fine Art Acrylic, Canson and Hahnemulhe Fine Art Paper, and Aluminium Metal.
